Ressano Garcia Architects’ Companhia das Culturas is a tranquil art studio and residence in the idyllic Algarve shaped using sustainable strategies and local materials while celebrating local culture. With its whitewashed walls, terracotta tiles, and recycled wooden shutters, the studio intertwines traditional Portuguese architectural principles that lend the space a timeless elegance.
On the inside, its bright and airy interior with high ceilings and elegant furnishings present a fusion of rich cultural heritage, modern luxury, and environmental consciousness. Meanwhile on the outside, the structure sits engulfed by lush gardens bursting with native flora and fauna to create a quiet retreat.

Companhia das Culturas is driven by a sustainable approach that follows the ‘three R’ policy of ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’, based on the principles of CO2 reduction.
